Celestial Incarnations

Hey astronomers!

We are about halfway through the campaign with 10 days remaining. The last week, the campaign has been fluctuating a lot with backers and funding so we are not really much closer to hitting our next "goals" yet, but we still have over a week left and I still think we can get there!

Sharing the project around is super helpful during this slow period of the campaign, and is very appreciated <3

Meanwhile, I have something really fun to share with you today! One of my Pintopia banner mates, Arcane Moon, surprised me yesterday with fanart of The Sun and The Moon! I was super surprised and did not expect this at all but gosh I love them so much!

Hey astronomers!

Today I have some new art for you guys! Since both the first two kisses were reached, I spent some time sketching P: These are currently just WIPs, but I'm already very happy with how these are turning out!

I will be adding their body jewelry, along with basic colors and a subtle background.

Thanks as well to those of you who joined me for my art stream on Monday!! It was a really fun time even though my hand decided to have a struggle day with art.

If you were there, you might notice that the hand kiss sketch is a bit different from what I drew on Monday. After coming back to the sketch with fresh eyes, I saw exactly how I could improve it and I'm much happier with this result!

We still have a ways to go to reach the goals for the other 2 sketches, but I think we can get there before the end of the campaign! The best way for backers to help now is to share the campaign with anyone you think would be interested - word of mouth is a HUGE help, especially during this very slow middle section of the campaign timeline.

P.S. Something you guys might not know about me is that I'm also an amateur writer in my free time, and something I've been noodling on since yesterday is the possibility of writing a small, short romance ficlet between these two, if the campaign reaches even more funding beyond $50k. Today's update is a little different! Today, while I stream over at twitch.tv/holoraindrops, I wanted to make a post to shoutout some of my fellow Pintopia creators and show off some of my favorite pins! Who knows, maybe this will help you discover some new creators you didn't know about :D Strap in because this is gonna be a long post!

First off, I wanted to shoutout each and every one of my Spaced Out banner companions! They've all done a fantastic job and I'm happy to say that all of us have funded!! Here are my favorite pins from each Spaced Out campaign.

...Starting of course with my amazing cross-collab partner, Wayward Enigma Designs! It's so hard to choose just one pin from WED's campaign, so I picked 2! I find the whale to just be so awesome and beautiful, and I'm of course a sucker for anything with corvids. Make sure to back WED's campaign Celestial Beasts to unlock freebie pins from each of us! 🌟

Next up we have Carly's Mythic Pins - I am just so in love with the graphic style of Eclipsed, Nightmare, and Crystalized. I couldn't help but back for all 3 of them. 💖 And I absolutely adore Naomi VanDoren's Celestial Armory, especially the Bow & Arrow!

Next we have Mad Child Soul's Across the Galak-Sea! All their pins are so detailed and intricate with gorgeous colors, but I'm of course a sucker for tea, so the teacup is my favorite. Picking a favorite from Parable Games' Lo-Fi Mech Pins was also tough, but I just really liked the relaxing, peaceful vibe of the "Stargazing" pin. 

Next, it was near impossible to choose a single pin from Bunni's Cats Among the Cosmos. Each and every pin is, in a word, EPIC. All of them are freaking stunning, but Pulsar's colors are just to die for Supernova was a close second, followed by Nebula...ugh they're all so good, just go look for yourself! As for Attic Door Media's Phoenix Planetarium, I really like the flowing, cloud-like shapes and serene blue colors in Uranus!

Next up we have Corvus from Fox & Crow Studios' Celestial Companions! As usual I'm sucker for corvids. As for Arcane Moon's Zodiac Goddesses, my favorite pin is actually the Serpent's Embrace, which isn't even part of the main set, but I can't help but be drawn to romantic art especially with a pretty man!

Next up we have Midnight Mica Art's Celestial Snuggles, and my favorite is the sloth! He's just so cute, look at him! And next to that is Mr. Weeples from Across Space by Visitors Media. I just want to know why he's so sad?? Why he cry?? Who hurt him??

Next we have The Obscure Celestial from Fantasy Fox Creations, who is making the below SUPER cool black hole ita bag! And next to that, one of my personal faves, the Planet Sentinel octopus from Reverie Realms' Celestial! I'm a huuuge sucker for octopuses, as they are my favorite animal, as you'll see in the next section...

As I mentioned above, octopuses are my favorite animal, and I've been casually hunting for the octopus pins I can find! Here are some that I absolutely adore!

In a one-two punch combo, Kage Davies managed to hit 2 of my favorite topics - octopuses AND tea! I couldn't resist pledging for both the teapot and the teacup octopuses. And I love their and their collab partner CZGoldEdition's cross-collab designs - both octopuses as well! 

Then there is Abi Stevens' blue ringed octopus and Arledge Comic's giant octopus as well - I'm going to be octopus-rich by the time I get all these pins 🐙

And now, I know what most of y'all are on about, and I bet you want some more pretty boy pins hum? So here are some more for you!

First up on the pretty boy train, one of my absolute favorites is Kira Night's Death of a Salesman pin. I was OBSESSED with their campaign last year and this year is no different. I am such a huge fan of all their hot spooky shadow men. It's like they looked into my brain and drew exactly what I want to see. He's so hot 😩 Then next to theirs we have Abysmal Kaiju's Sea Serpent mermaid. I LOVE that he has some low-key sexy vibes, and I love his twisty body! Truly a couple of my favorite pins this year overall!!

I cannot go without mentioning Crimson Chains and Kaizuart! I ADORE both their campaigns, and it was very difficult just to pick one from each, but I love the drippy look of Crim's Fungi pin and I already love Kaizu's OC Noctifer so I had to show him off!

Next up is kittyalist's cross-collab pin The Dragon. He's just...he's so pretty, I don't know what else to tell you! Look at him! He's just so handsome and I love the peaceful vibe of this pin. Next to that is their partner's campaign. All Xiumai's dragons are stunning, but with Spirited Away being a childhood favorite, of course I am drawn to Haku!

Another in the pretty boys category are these four pins inspired by Gods from Chinese folklore. It was extremely difficult to choose just 1 pin from this campaign, and I have no clue how I'll ever decide which one to get for myself. They're all so cute and honestly theirs is one of my favorite campaigns this year!
 


Next is a variety of pins with no particular theme, I just really really like them and wanted to show them off!

I can't let you get through this update without shilling one of Foxpirate's adorable postal cat pins! The rainbow stamp is one of my favorites from his campaign. Next to that is some adorable pride flags designed into ribbon candy! These are so cute and clever and I am a big fan of them, and I wish I could eat these in real life! Got some good LGBTQIA+ vibes with these two pins.

Jaizure and Pokettoni have, as always, made some very pretty girls this year! I love Jaizure's zombie girl and Pokettoni's Kuchisake-onna!

On the sexier side of things, we have what I feel is a very underrated campaign by Elliott Cassel that's themed around queer kink. I really like all their pins but my favorite is the cuffed & chained hands. If you're looking for something a little spicier, you should definitely check their campaign!
 

Next, I thought Marachi Studios' Virus pin was going to be my favorite until I saw the Sentry pins, because holy cow, those are EPIC, I am always so weak for things with antlers. And next to that is one of my favorites from Vile Worm's campaign Fallen Angels. Its whole campaign is SO cool and it was difficult to pick just one!

Last but most certainly not least, we have an absolutely stunning black hole design from Kino's ita bag campaign! I'm so into their whole aesthetic on their campaign and so happy for them with their massive success! And of course we can't forget one of my favorite pin artists, UltraInfinite! Their sundog plushie is sooo cute, but when it comes to pins, I really love the colors of the Throne pin and I'm excited to add it to my UltraInfinite collection!

Hey astronomers!

Y'all really said "I wanna see these two make out" haha, we've already reached the first 2 achievements, which means I'll draw:

I'm going to take the rest of the weekend to relax a bit, I feel like I've earned it! And I will start working on this new artwork next week.

Speaking of, I thought it might be fun to do a livestream while I work on the artwork. I'm thinking this coming Monday, Jan. 26th. Since this is my fulltime job, I typically work during the day, and I will likely start the stream around 1pm CST or so. For anyone who won't be able to make it at that time, the stream will be automatically recorded, and you'll be able to watch the whole thing at any point later on. :)
